Each year the Alumni Association presents the Block “M” Award to deserving individuals who, over a period of years, advance the strength and success of his or her alumni class, Chapter, and/or Alumni Interest Group
- No more than four awards may be given annually
- Only alumni are eligible
- Not eligible: previous recipients of a Black Bear Award or Pine Tree Emblem Alumni Service Award, or any current UMAA board member, current UMAA or UMaine Foundation employee, or current member of the Alumni Awards Selection Committee
