Alumni Association Board Elects Officers and Directors | 2026

At their 2026 Annual Meeting on June 12 in Portland, the Board of Directors of the University of Maine Alumni Association elected five new members to three-year terms on the board.

Philip Badger, III ’03 of Brewer, ME is a Senior Electrical Engineer, Department Manager, and Firm Associate at WBRC, an architectural and engineering firm based in Bangor.  Phil earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from UMaine. Phil’s wife, Amy Clark Badger ’96, is also a Black Bear alumna.

 

 

 

Sheila Dionne Hudson ’92 of Winchester, MA and Westport Island, ME recently retired from a 25-year career at LC Anderson, a commercial HVAC contractor based in Boston.  Sheila served in a variety of roles at LC Anderson, most recently as HR and Administration Manager.  Sheila earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UMaine.  Sheila’s husband, Karl Hudson ’88, is also a UMaine alumnus.

 

 

 

Nathan Kinney ’12 of Portland, ME is Assistant Director of Strategic Workforce Planning at EY (Ernst & Young), a global professional services firm.  Nate earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics from UMaine.  As a student, Nate was a Sophomore Owl, a Senior Skull, and a member of Team Maine.  Nate recently completed a term as President of the Senior Skulls Alumni Interest Group.

 

 

 

Dennis O’Neill ’93 of Reading, MA is President of Beacon Consulting Group, a national construction consulting and management firm with offices in Medford, MA, New York, NY, Boca Raton, FL, and Cupertino, CA.  Dennis earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from UMaine.

 

 

 

 

Brenda LaRoche Whitney ’80 of Yarmouth, ME is a Broker with Portside Real Estate Group based in Falmouth, ME.  Brenda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting from UMaine.  As a student, Brenda was a member of the Sophomore Eagles, All Maine Women, Cheerleading, and Pi Beta Phi.  Brenda is also currently active with the UMaine Portland Alumnae and the UMaine Alumni Chapter of Southern Maine.

 

 

 

 

At the Annual Meeting, the board also re-elected current officers to another one-year officer term, including:

(L) Board Chair – Nate Wildes ’12 of Bath, ME – Executive Director of Live + Work In Maine, and Co-Founder of Flight Deck Brewing.

(C) Board Vice Chair – Mark Bolduc ’84 of Dixfield, ME – President of The Fitch Company.

(R) Treasurer – Jeffrey Rogers ’16 of Westbrook, ME – Vice President of Operations & Finance with ProInfoNet.

Ex Officio Officers include:

Immediate Past Chair – Theresa Joyce Lee ’87 of Northborough, MA – Chief Development Officer at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill.

Secretary – Thomas Peaco ’88 of Bangor, ME – President & CEO of the University of Maine Alumni Association.

 

 

The board also elected four current members to a second three-year term on the board, including:

(L) Tanner Adams ’15, ’16G of Portland, ME – Vice President, Commercial Banking at JP Morgan Chase.

(LC) Connor Bray ’23 of Cumberland, ME – Software Engineer at Tyler Technologies.

(RC) Marie DuBois Tobin ’94 of Exeter, NH – HCM Relationship Manager with SkillCloud HCM Solutions.

(R) John Yates ’80, ’83G of San Diego, CA – Professor & Chair, Department of Integrative Structural & Computational Biology, Scripps Research Institute.

 

The board conveyed its deep gratitude to five board members who reached the end of their term and are departing the board, including:  Ashleigh Briggs-Davis ’09, Travis Noyes ’96, Sophia Paddon ’20, John Simpson ’71, ’83G, and Jason Solomon ’03.

The board also welcomes the following non-voting ex officio members who recently joined the board, including:

(L) Hannah Hudson ’12, ’14G – Chair, University of Maine Board of Visitors

(LC) Christopher Keating  ’79 – Board Chair, University of Maine Foundation

(RC) Austin Reese – President, University of Maine Graduate Student Government
