About 125 Bangor area alumni and friends offered UMaine President Joan Ferrini-Mundy a warm welcome last month at the UMaine Museum of Art in downtown Bangor during a reception hosted by the Alumni Association.
The event offered individuals a chance to meet the new president, learn her priorities for the new school year, and connect with others in their area. Also in attendance that night was special guest Dr. Robert Buchanan ‘44, a Caribou native who now lives in Colorado. Buchanan Alumni House on campus, home to the UMaine Alumni Association and UMaine Foundation, bears his name.
