The University of Maine Cooperative Extension recently partnered with the Maine State Prison in Warren to provide horticultural skill training for inmates. This initiative is a part of a program that provides food for the facility and local food pantries, as well as cutting costs for the prison and state and assisting in developing employable job skills among inmates.
