On Saturday, May 10, grads were invited to campus for a “Hearty Maine Farewell,” a new program started by UMaine Student Life this year. The campus was open for graduates and their guests to revisit favorite spots before graduation, shop at the UMaine Bookstore, and enjoy local eats at a food truck hub. Photographers were available to capture the excitement as well.
The Alumni Association hosted our annual Alumni Welcome Center, where we offered congratulations, celebrated our legacy families, and welcomed new grads into the Black Bear family. Each new grad was presented with a UMaine Alumni luggage tag as a keepsake for the journey ahead. Graduates were also invited to take commemorative photos in front of our official alumni backdrop. The Graduate Commencement Ceremony took place on the evening of May 10, and the undergraduate ceremonies were held on Sunday, May 11, all at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
