Hello, Class of 2015! As I write this spring has finally arrived in Maine, bringing lots of rain (especially on weekends, for some reason), plenty of black flies, new road construction projects, and yet also the promise of a verdant and wonderful summer. As E.B. White wrote, “I would really rather feel bad in Maine, than feel good anywhere else.”
A few weeks ago we had a wonderful time attending the Alumni Awards Banquet. What a marvelous slate of awardees, each a testament to the excellence of our alma mater, whether alumni themselves or those who have chosen through other avenues to give back to our community. Special shoutouts to our very own Dr. Justin Richards, recognized with the Rising Star Award (in our class’s last year of eligibility!) and Dr. Sean Sibley ‘14, ‘15 C.G.S., ‘18G, ‘19 C.G.S., ’24 Ph.D., recognized with the Spirit of Maine Achievement Award.
If you know of alumni peers or members of the UMaine community who deserve consideration for one of the prestigious annual alumni awards, please take a few moments and nominate them. You can find descriptions of the awards, criteria, timeline, and other necessary information at UMaineAlumni.com.
