The Class of 1980 had a wonderful 45th Reunion at Homecoming, October 24-26! We wanted to send you some updates and highlights from our time on campus!
Many of us kicked off Homecoming with the Welcome Home reception at Buchanan Alumni House on Friday evening and then caught the Homecoming-themed drone light show and hockey game later that night.
Saturday was an amazing time! Thank you to Bill Nemer for hosting us in his season ticket tailgate location, and thanks to The County Tailgating Crew, who did all the cooking! We enjoyed pizza, snacks, beverages, laughs, and memories! A special thank you to Dave Kingsbury, who supplied us all with a commemorative Class of 1980 University of Maine cup. Dave even had chairs that said Class of 1980. Amazing!
After tailgating, we enjoyed double wins by UMaine football during the day and UMaine hockey Saturday evening!
It was a truly wonderful time, and we missed everyone who couldn’t make it. I was home recovering from a leg fracture but was with you all in spirit.
We hope to see you all at our 50th Reunion in 2030!
