Class of 1963 – 60th Reunion

Save the Dates!

September 26 & 27:Pre-reunion in Freeport, Maine

September 28-30: On-campus Senior Alumni Reunion Activities

Dear Classmates,

After several years of Covid-aborted mini class reunions we are now looking at our 60th.  Our reunion committee has planned events in Freeport and Orono that will give us an opportunity to revisit old times, connect with classmates and just visit.

The draft agenda is attached here and listed below. I think the highlight will be sharing life stories after the business meeting on Wednesday afternoon.  Everyone that wants to participate can share a memorable story or event that we would never have predicted when we graduated.  They can be humorous, uplifting, musical or whatever you want to share with us. My Orono High School class did this at our 50th and it was a lot of fun.

We have limited blocks of rooms in Freeport and Orono (see below) and both have fair cancelation policies so plan accordingly.

Registration material will be sent in June or early July.

Save the date postcards were sent to everyone UMAA has addresses for and this email is going to all known email addresses. If you want to get on or off either list please contact Ashley Twombly at ashley.twombly@maine.edu.

Hope to see you in September!

Yours for the University of Maine, “the college of our hearts always!”

Vice President – Dr. Virginia Barnes Grogean

Class Correspondent – Elaine Murphy Burnham

Treasurer – Ron Brown

Class Agent – Marcia Roak Fitzgerald
