Tim Garrity G is the executive director of the Mount Desert Island Historical Society. The historical society employs a number of UMaine alumni in various capacities.
Congratulations to two classmates who received promotions at Baker Newman Noyes’s Portland office. Megan Elliot was promoted to senior in the tax practice and Zachary Porter was promoted to senior in the risk and business advisory practice.
In athletic news, Alfie Michaud, who played goalie during UMaine’s last NCAA championship, has returned to UMaine as a full-time assistant coach. He will work on recruiting and all aspects of defensive play.
The University of Maine at Presque Isle chose Dan Kane G as the new athletic administrator and men’s basketball coach. Dan was previously an assistant at Connecticut College; prior to that, he worked at UMaine-Farmington.
Brittany Cline Ph.D. and her husband, Jereme Frank, welcomed their son Oliver on New Year’s Day 2017. Oliver was the Bangor area’s first baby of the year. Brittany is a wildlife ecologist at the University of Maine.
