Class 2000 Fall Class Notes

Greetings, Class Y2K. We have a few updates to share, and we hope you’ll keep sending in more news so that we can brag on you to your fellow classmates!

Eric Cousens (Natural Science, Forestry & Agriculture — now renamed Earth, Life, and Health Sciences) has stepped up as the new executive director of public services for the city of Auburn. After more than 20 years of experience in municipal government with multiple roles in the planning department, Eric is certainly prepared for this next exciting chapter.

Jeffrey Joyce (Liberal Arts & Sciences) has taken the big step of starting a new law firm in downtown Ellsworth. Joining forces with several colleagues, Viridian Law is now ready to provide a mix of legal services across Maine, while keeping rates competitive.

And once again Coach Amy Vachon is making headlines, this time as the all-time winningest head coach in UMaine women’s basketball history! While the wins will keep coming, it is worth noting that the record-setting game came against UNH.

Congrats to Eric, Jeffrey, and Amy!
