Class 2001 Fall Class Notes

This year is flying by, and our alumni have been making moves!

Kurt Schaub was getting ready to retire when the Turner town selectmen asked him to stick around a bit longer. Kurt has found that his sweet spot is a four-day work week. For now, he’s staying to pass on his 11 years of town knowledge.

Another 2001 alum is joining public service. Sara Devlin began her new role as deputy city manager for Ellsworth this past February. Sara had been serving as the executive director of the Bangor Area Comprehensive Transportation System and was excited to make the move to Ellsworth, where she has long family ties.

Also in career news, Pam Danforth Dixon has been promoted to executive vice president, chief financial officer at Franklin Savings Bank. Pam has been with the bank for over 17 years. She currently lives in Vienna, ME, with her husband and two children.

The University of Maine has added General Diane Dunn ’01G, among others, to its board of visitors. Diane is adjutant general and commissioner of the Maine Department of Defense, Veterans, and Emergency Management.
