Hi, Class of ’06! I have a few career updates to share from our classmates:
Brendan Parker was hired as the county communications assistant director in Lincoln County.
Ernest Scheyder, author of the book: The War Below: Lithium, Copper, and the Global Battle to Power Our Lives, is one of 10 authors named to the longlist for the 2024 National Book Award for Nonfiction. A winner will be named in November. Ernie has spent the past 15 years covering energy, mining, and the oil industry for Reuters.
Bryan Kaenrath is the new city administrator in Lewiston. Bryan most recently served as Waterville city manager and previously served as the city administrator in Saco.
Congratulations to Katherine Grondin ‘06CAS on her retirement from education! Katy most recently served as superintendent of Regional School Unit 4. Over the course of her career in education, Katy held positions as a second-grade teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent.
Linda Howe ‘06G is focusing on religion in her retirement — she is a minister at the Methodist church in Bethel, where she arranges events through the church, including the monthly Soup’s On program. Linda previously worked as a teacher in RSU 10.
