What’s new in your part of the world?  We’d love to hear about it.

Jennifer Andrews Rancourt has been named vice president of communications and compliance at Promerica Health. Jennifer’s experience includes long-term care administration, most recently as nursing home administrator at the Brentwood Center for Health and Rehabilitation, and marketing for Bellavita.

Brent West ’03G has joined Allenfarm Fence Company in Hermon as its first chief executive officer.  Brent brings more than 20 years of experience in the manufacturing business world and five years in non-profit financial management to this company.

In August, Christine Iaconeta Hepler was inducted into the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2017. Christine captained the Black Bears to a 23-7 record and an NIT berth in 1990 and earned all-conference honors. She is now director of the law library at the University of Maine School of Law, and teaches research to law students.

Grace Linn Farrington, daughter of Shelley Danforth Farrington, began her freshmen semester at UMaine this fall, carrying on a family tradition and representing three generations of UMaine Black Bears. In addition to her mother, Grace’s grandfather Avern Danforth ’60 and her aunt Jane Danforth ’85, ’01G also graduated from UMaine. Grace, the salutatorian of Stearns High School, has been accepted into the chemical engineering program and is the recipient of the University of Maine Pulp and Paper Foundation’s full-tuition scholarship as well as the UMaine Top Scholar Scholarship. Shelley and her family are all very proud of Grace’s accomplishments and can’t wait to see what the future holds for the family’s newest Black Bear!

I hope Grace and all of the next generation of Black Bears make as many wonderful memories as we did.

M-A-I-N-E, Gooo BLUE!
