Norm Gagne was inducted into the Maine Principals Association Hall of Excellence. Norm has coached high school hockey teams to seven state championships and 18 state final appearances. He has 715 career victories over 42 years as varsity hockey coach at Gardiner, Waterville, Gorham, Lewiston, and Scarborough schools. These 715 victories rank him second all-time in wins in the history of high school ice hockey. His winning percentage is nearly 70%. He will continue coaching this winter at his alma mater, Edward Little.

Lisa Ripley Ladd lives in Owls Head and works as a tax administrative assistant at Heal Accounting Solutions, PC.

Ester Serrão, Ph.D. was one of 11 U.S. and international marine scientists named by the Pew Charitable Trusts as a 2017 Pew Marine Fellow. She will identify hot spots of genetic diversity in populations of kelp and other large brown algae. Ester is an associate professor at the University of Algarve in Portugal.

Jessica Laliberte of Waterville is the president of Laliberte Consulting Group LLC, a media relations and public affairs consulting business. She serves as the first executive director of The Maine Ambulance Association and is a reporter/writer for the Central Maine Photography staff.
