Hello, ‘59ers!
As I write this, spring was trying to come to southeastern Massachusetts. However, it was just kidding and now we are back to jacket weather. Oh well, we are in New England!
I have happy news to start off with! Les Nadeau and Jeannie Pocius were married on December 29, 2021. Les may be remembered as that great trumpet player in the Sigma Chi band. Jeannie is also an experienced trumpet player. They make their home in Orono near campus.
Class president Don Cookson is busy working for our class, sending e-newsletters and having executive committee meetings. The committee recently met and discussed our 65th Reunion (2024). Hard to believe! Honorary member of our class, Chris Corro has graciously offered to assist our class with plans. Chris worked for many years in the alumni office and though retired would still like to be involved with the class. Thank you, Chris! Don is hoping in the future to send out a print newsletter in addition to the email. Another item of interest is that our scholarship distribution will increase this year to $4,788. Please continue
to remember our scholarship fund when you make your donations. Every year it is awarded to one of your sons, daughters, or grandchildren.
