Hello, ’59ers!
Classmates Don Cookson, Evie Stevens Smith, and Helen “Duckie” Inman Boomer attended a recent Senior Alumni executive committee meeting. Evie and Helen are our class representatives.
Classmate Ken Perrone ’60G has had a long career of athletic accomplishments. He was the inaugural class of the 2014 Brewer High School Athletic Hall of Fame as well as a member of nine other halls of fame in New England.
Brewer High School has an ambitious project to improve athletic facilities. One of the upgrades is to build a new state-of-the-art press box (crow’s nest). It will be named the Ken Perrone Crow’s Nest to honor Coach Perrone.
At our last ‘59 class executive meeting there was a discussion to suggest contributions of $65 for 65 to raise money for our scholarship fund.
Contributions can be made to the University of Maine Foundation directed to the Class of ’59 Scholarship.
