Hi, ’66 alums! First some financial news about our scholarship fund for the 2024 fiscal year provided by Emil Swift. Class members donated $2,801 with an investment gain of $8, 252.16 raising the total fund value to $76,416.37, allowing a 2024 scholarship distribution of $1949. Emil estimates a 2025 scholarship allotment of $2,13 and encourages ‘66ers to continue donating to the Scholarship Fund.
In other news, Carol Jesraly Josel let me know about her latest book, Out of the Tub: President and Chief Justice William Howard Taft. Carol wrote the book after being ‘infected’ with her husband’s love of Teddy Roosevelt which expanded to Taft. The book is geared to middle school students and can be found on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I mentioned to Carol that I had no books in my writings but have 44 peer reviewed and accepted science papers. I could post a list of the titles reading of which would serve as an excellent cure of insomnia! Below are the citations of the first paper and the last paper I had published. Feel free to snore!

Karol Wasylyshyn, who is a Fellow of The American Psychological Association, was recently honored by that association by publishing a special collection of her articles on the role of ‘trusted leadership advisor.’ Congratulations, Karol!
And on a sad note from Patricia Tofuri Bicknell, her husband, Brian Bicknell, also Class of ’66, suffered a massive stroke and passed away without regaining consciousness at the end of April last year. They met in 1966 while practice teaching at Brewer High School, had been married for 57 years, and raised three daughters. RIP, Brian, and best wishes, Patricia.
