Hello, classmates. We hope you are enjoying the nice weather. Our winter weather in southern Maine was not bad this year, but it is always good to see spring and summer.
Bernard “Barney” Pelletier G of Eagle Lake received the Maine Health Care Association’s 2019 Remember Me Award. Barney is a retired educator who taught at Dirigo School in Eagle Lake and was principal of Fort Kent Elementary School, St. Francis Elementary School, and Eagle Lake Elementary School. In 2003, when he was a teaching principal at St. Francis Elementary School, he was recognized by the Maine State Police with a special commendation for his action to ensure student safety until police arrived to diffuse a potentially dangerous situation.
