As we approach our 50th Reunion, let’s share memories of our years on campus. Karen Boucias sent hers:
“Arriving at the University of Maine in 1967, I was thrilled because those ivy-covered brick buildings were etched in my mind as the perfect campus. “Four years could not have been more enjoyable or meaningful. As you remember, at orientation we chose our first semester classes, met other new students, and, in my case, left with roommates selected for fall. Those roommates became good friends, and I still have lunch several times a year with my closest roommate, a long-term friend now of 50 years. I got an excellent education that prepared me for graduate school and life beyond. “Although I left Maine after graduating, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to return, and spent most of my career at the college of hearts always.”
