Class of 1971 Winter 2024 Class Note

Greetings, fellow ’71ers! Hopefully everyone had a wonderful summer and fall. Unfortunately, I only received one message to report.

Luckily, Ron Lebel wrote to me about himself and his wife, Joanne Lavoie Lebel ’72.

Ron retired in 2020 from his law practice at Skelton, Taintor & Abbott in Auburn. Joanne has also retired from her position as assistant superintendent of schools in Augusta. They now split their time between Auburn and a summer home in Old Orchard Beach. They are still avid travelers and have been to all seven continents, about 45 countries, all 50 states, and 60 of the US National Parks.

They are both still very busy within the community. Ron currently serves on the board of the Central Maine Community College Foundation and as a coach of the Lewiston High School mock trial team, which has won the state championship twice in the last five years. Joanne serves on the board of the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. Thank you, Ron and Joanne, for filling us in on your busy lives.

Please, everyone, think about dropping me an email to let us all know what is happening in your life.

Keep in touch,

Judi
