I wanted to remind everyone that we have a Facebook group for our University of Maine Class of ’75. Please go to the address above, join, and use the opportunity to post news of achievements and plans, and pictures of you, your family, and pets. If there is interest, we can set up an online alumni photo album through the University of Maine Alumni Association website’s class page, but it seems that the first place to start would be increasing activity with our Facebook group. Please spread the word. I would love to see posts from everyone there.

It was so nice to receive an update from Bob Duquette ’76G. After retiring from heading the Transactions Tax Group at Ernst & Young in Philadelphia, he wanted to remain active. He is now a full-time professor of practice at Lehigh University. Bob also continues to study and write and make presentations about the implications of the rising federal debt and reform efforts in regional and national media. He and Kathie have been married 40 years and raised three wonderful children in Wyomissing, PA.

Congratulations to Mark Plummer, who won a record fifth victory in the Maine Senior Amateur golf tournament this past August.

Claire Letellier Evrard has been teaching math at Yarmouth High School for 39 years and loving it the whole time. She says she feels that no day or year have ever been the same. What a great accomplishment!

This past November, Colin Roy, the athletic director at Hall-Dale High School in Farmingdale, was awarded the NFHS Citation in recognition of contributions to interscholastic athletics. Roy has been teaching, coaching, and administrating sports for over 40 years at Hall-Dale and Mount Ararat high schools.

Portland City Councilman David Brenerman G decided not to seek re-election last November. He plans to spend more time with his family and on his business.

Mike Grondin is still in the Bangor area. While retired from full-time work he enjoys substitute teaching about three days a week. He built an eco-friendly home with solar panels in 2015 and married Kyle (Tardy) on Leap Day, Feb 29, 2016. They often attend the men’s and women’s UMaine basketball games, so look for him there. Mike has three grandchildren he is enjoying immensely.
