Class of 1976 Fall Class Notes

Hello ’76ers!

Steven Snow from Gilford, NH, reached out to the Alumni Association to let us know that he competed in the World Masters Athletics outdoor championship in Gothenburg, Sweden, last August. He ran the 100m dash placing sixth and the 200m dash placing fourth. He also was part of the USA Men’s 70 4x100m relay team, placing first and setting a new world record! Well done, Steven!

John Ferland retired last fall after 16 years with Ocean Renewable Power Company (ORPC), seven of them as president of ORPC. He adds that over the last 48 years he has been a journalist, coastal planner, marine emergency first responder, start-up mentor, industry association director, and a developer of innovative and pioneering renewable ocean energy project. 

Classmate Dennis Bailey is now living in Portugal, and recently published a new book titled Óla Portugal: Why I Moved to the Land of Sunshine and Sardines (and how you can too). The book has everything you need, including photographs by Dennis, to turn your dream of moving to Portugal into reality.

Judith A. Fletcher Woodbury, Esq., was inducted into the Maine Justice Foundation Bar Fellows as a Patron Fellow. Judith is a retired attorney from Pierce Atwood LLP, and president of the board of directors for the Maine Justice Foundation.
