Class of 1977 Fall Class Notes

Hello, classmates. I hope this finds you well and having a terrific summer. For those of us living in Maine, this felt like the winter that would never end! It’s so good to finally feel the warm rays of the sun while watching spring flowers blossom and the trees returning to life.

I have just a couple of news items to share with you. Gary Lamb ’83G has announced that he will be stepping down as city manager of Hallowell this summer. He looks forward to spending time with his wife, sons, and grandchildren, as well as fishing and kayaking.

Duane Scott writes that he has been appointed to the MaineGeneral Health Board of Directors. Duane states, “My relationship with MaineGeneral began soon after my retirement in 2015 as director of multimodal planning after 36 years with the Maine Department of Transportation. I have volunteered at MaineGeneral’s Medical and Cancer Centers for these past nine years, also serving on the auxiliary board and as president for five years.”

That’s all the news I have for now. Again, I hope you all have a wonderful summer. Drop me a line so I can let our classmates know what you’ve been up to — retirements, new adventures, family events, vacations, etc. As I have said before, and which certainly bears repeating in these challenging times, take time to do the things you love with those most dear to you. Cheers!
