(From the Ellsworth American) Capt. Troy M. Bires (UCB/ legal technology) was promoted to deputy police chief on the Ellsworth Police Department.
The Maine Department of Education and Educate Maine named Lisa Tibbets Martell (B.S. in mathematics education) Piscataquis County Teacher of the Year! Way to go, Lisa!
The Bangor Daily News reported that Jack Capuano coached the 2021 U.S. Men’s National Team last June at the International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s World Championship in Riga, Latvia. “Anytime you get an opportunity to represent your country, it is an honor,” said Jack. “You can’t pass it up.”
Also from Bangor Daily News we learned that Bob Corkum resigned as head coach of the United States women’s national hockey team. He said he wasn’t comfortable with COVID-19 protocols.
