Paul Birkel (civil engineering) has been named new president and CEO of environmental engineering firm Wright-Pierce. This firm is owned, operated, and led by its practitioners, which allows the leadership team to stay connected to the engineering work being performed. Says Paul, “I started my career at Wright-Pierce in 1990 and have experienced four CEO transitions during that time, this one included…While each new CEO brings different initiatives to the table, I plan to focus on our people, our processes, and maintaining technical excellence in our work products as we grow and expand into different geographic areas.” According to their website, wright-pierce.com/, their work products include drinking water, wastewater, water resources, and civil and transportation projects.

Have a wonderful winter, y’all!
