Hope everyone had a great summer and fall! My twin sister and my brother-in-law lived with us this summer as their house was getting built. It was great having them with us. Always good to have extra people to help out! I hope you think about attending UMaine’s Homecoming this fall.

I heard from Jon Bach (BA in journalism), who is a senior program manager for eBay in San Jose, CA. He wrote a book titled Above the Clouds in 1993 about his father (author Richard Bach), and his relationship with him, but was influenced by his brother James to start a career in software testing because of its similarity to journalism. His technical career now spans over 20 years of investigating and finding software problems that need to be solved. A number of them have been for eBay, where in 2016 he won a peer-nominated Luminary Award for his work in quality and engineering excellence. For fun, he hosts a video channel on XOTV.me titled “Air Time with Captain Rob,” where he interviews his other brother, a pilot, about air travel.

In July 2018 Joshua A. Tardy rejoined the firm of Rudman Winchell, located in Bangor, ME, as an Of Counsel attorney. Josh began his career at Rudman Winchell. He also will continue his relationship with the governmental affairs firm Mitchell, Tardy, & Jackson when the legislature is in session. Previously, he was the House minority leader in the Maine House of Representatives.

Scott King is an orthopedic surgeon performing knee and hip replacements. He lives in Hershey, PA, with his wife, Andrea, and their four children.
