Spring 2015 Class Note

Jenine Serviolo

1231 Boissevain Avenue

Norfolk, VA

Greetings, Class of ’92.

Congratulations to Hannah Casey Whalen ’92, who was named Senior Foundation Officer at the Maine Community Foundation in September of last year. Hannah will work with current and prospective donors in Down East and Northern Maine. She got her start in philanthropy through the Office of University Development at UMaine.

Stepping in to help while the district searches to permanently fill the position, Bruce Lindberg ’92G has agreed to be the Ellsworth High School principal for this academic year. Bruce’s distinguished career in Maine schools includes coaching in Dixfield, Skowhegan, and Ellsworth. He also served in various head administrator roles at Lee Academy, Bucksport High School, and Piscataquis Community High School. In the late ’80s he served two years as assistant principal at Ellsworth High School.

My own community efforts continue at The Big Yellow House in Norfolk, VA, with a holiday open house featuring local artists and crafts people. If you’re ever in Norfolk, VA, stop in and share your news.

That’s all I have for now. Please send your updates as I would love to include them in the next column or join the group on Facebook, University-of-MaineClass-of-1992, where you can post your news to share online.
