Tim Doak G was named Superintendent of the Year by the Maine School Superintendents Association. Tim serves RSU 39 and MSAD 20 in Aroostook County. He has 27 years of experience in education.

Army veteran Art Mathisen is the CEO of Copley Hospital in Vermont and a competitive triathlete. He has participated in 20 full Ironman triathlons, including seven Ironman Hawaii competitions. Last summer he completed the Ironman 70.3 at Old Orchard Beach.

Paul Kariya was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in November 2017. Paul recorded 989 points in 989 NHL games during 15 seasons, led UMaine to its first NCAA championship in 1992-1993, and became the first freshman to win the Hobey Baker Award, college hockey’s top honor. Paul was inducted into the University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame in 1999 and returned to Orono last fall to join his teammates from 1992-1993, who were being inducted as a group.

Joseph Russo G was honored by the Maine Sports Legends at their annual Hall of Honors ceremony in 2017. He played basketball and baseball at Portland High School and basketball at UMaine at Presque Isle. He coached for three years at Bonny Eagle High School before returning to Portland High School in 1990. His teams have won five state championships and seven regional titles.
