Congratulations to Dan Cashman ’00, who received the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural Arts & Culture Award last winter. Dan is host of “The Nite Show,” a weekly television show in which he interviews local and worldwide guests. The half-hour Nite Show, which is filmed before a live studio audience, airs in Maine on Saturday nights. Dan is also the public relations director at Sutherland Weston Marketing Communications.

Michael Hussey ’00, co-founder of RateMyProfessors and founder and CEO of StatSocial, returned to campus to give a presentation at the Foster Innovation Center in early March. Many thanks to him for braving a snowstorm to share his dos and don’ts on startups with UMaine students shortly before the campus closed.

Class of 2000, the UMaine Alumni Association is looking for someone to write the class news. Please email abigail.zelz@maine.edu if you would like to become the author of the Class of 2000 column.
