Hello, Class of 2002!

Julia Munsey was recently named director, membership and corporate development for the Maine International Trade Center, based in Portland, ME. Previously, Julia was a partner in Dougherty Project Management, a Bangor-based company whose focus was on technology, business process, and marketing communication project management.

Matthew Cyr G, ’04 C.A.S. was recently named school superintendent in Veazie. Matthew has served as principal at Veazie Community School since July 2015, but is now pulling double-duty and serving in both roles in a move that looks to save the school district in the long run.

Scott Oxley G continues to climb the ranks at Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, as the former vice president and chief operating officer of Acadia Hospital was promoted to senior vice president of EMHS and president of Acadia Hospital. Congrats, Scott!

Congratulations are in order for Angela Pulcifer Fleming, one of three new members to the Presque Isle High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Angela was a multi-sport star in The County, including soccer, basketball, and track and field. After running track for UMaine, she went on to a career in the Army and is back in her home county working for Aroostook Home Health Services.

Amy Bowler Allen, a designer with the Bangor Daily News, was part of a team that took first place honors at the Maine Press Association’s annual awards banquet for their work on the BDN’s quarterly Outdoors magazine. Additionally, she won another first place prize for her work designing a senior living supplement cover.

Feel free to send me updates at the addresses above or track me down on Facebook. Please send news, updates, and photos for inclusion in future class columns — the Class of 2002 would love to hear from you!
