The Class of 2003 needs someone to report the news. There is more news than the following few items, but without your help, it won’t appear in the magazine. If you would like to write the class column, please contact Abigail.zelz@maine.edu. It’s a simple, twice-a-year job.

Joshua Toothaker ’05G is Searsport District High School’s new athletic director and dean of students. He previously taught middle school science and coached in Searsport as well as in Camden-Rockport. Joshua lives in Stockton Springs with his wife and two daughters.

Mike Seile is vice president of operations for Somic America. The Brewer-based company manufactures suspension and steering parts for automakers, including Subaru and Toyota. Mike also oversees the company’s other manufacturing plant, which is located in Virginia. He previously served as CEO of the Bangor YMCA, leading its consolidation with the city’s YWCA.

Congratulations to Tracy Guerrette, who finished 25th overall among the 13,391 female entrants in the Boston Marathon this year. Tracy said that the cold, windy, and rainy conditions at this year’s marathon were the worst she has ever competed in. But maybe that was a good thing, since her timing was better (2:54:02) than her previous Boston Marathons.

Please remember — the Alumni Association is looking for a member of the class to write this column. We’d all like to see news here, not a blank space!

Have a great fall, everyone!
