Class of 2003 Winter 2024 Class Note

Midcoast Maine book lovers, rejoice! Elizabeth Burnett opened a bookshop in Searsport last year. Elizabeth decided to change her career focus from law to something more meaningful and personal post COVID. Even the name of the store, Anodyne, has significant meaning for her — a noun referencing “something that soothes, calms, or comforts.” Elizabeth has planned Anodyne to be a family-centric location which includes a children’s section, adult readers of all levels, and even a used book section. Congratulations, Elizabeth on your successful endeavor!

The Regional School Unit 9 board of directors voted unanimously to approve Gregory Henderson G for a one-year interim position as assistant principal for Mt. Blue High School. Gregory was formerly a guidance counselor at this same school. Prior to moving to Mt. Blue High School, he was the principal at Spruce Mountain Middle School. His career mainly focused on working one-on-one with the students as a guidance counselor before moving into the administration arm of the school.

Class of 2003 had their Reunion last year and Homecoming did not disappoint! It was great to see new and familiar faces after 20 years!

As winter surrounds us, let us enjoy taking in all the season has to offer!
