A couple career updates: Bradley Lyon was promoted to vice president of transportation engineering at Sebago Technics. He has been working at Sebago Technics since 2006.
Derek Damon has been promoted to head coach and general manager of the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL. The team is affiliated with the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild. Derek was previously an assistant coach last season. He concluded his 14-year professional hockey career two years ago.
Emily Albee, who graduated with us and then earned a M.Ed in ’09 and a Certificate of Advanced Study in ’12, was named a finalist for 2023 Maine Teacher of the Year. Emily teaches social studies at Hampden Academy. “To be included as one of the four finalists for Maine Teacher of the Year energizes me to continue to advocate for students, teachers, and education in Maine,” she said.
