Jimmy Reed was selected as one of two alternate bobsledders for the USA Olympic Team in Pyeongchang, South Korea, despite an injury at the height of training last year in which he tore his hamstring. Even though the injury came shortly before the selection process, he was still named to the team due to his success in the previous season.
Dan Bourgeois-Capozzi has started as Androscoggin Bank’s first-ever business marketing specialist. His responsibility in this role is to focus on the bank’s ability to serve small businesses.
John Jagger joined the staff of Lynam Insurance Agency in Bar Harbor, ME, as an insurance agent and the firm’s agency manager, moving from his sales position at Liberty Mutual.
Cathy Herr has returned to Maine from the Big Island of Hawaii to take on the role of volunteer and administrative coordinator at Trekkers, which connects young people with caring adults through expeditionary learning, community service, and adventure-based education.
Abigail Hilt has joined the team at Down East Magazine as a digital marketing coordinator after leaving Dream Local Digital in Rockland. She brings her experience as a marketing strategist and her B.A. in journalism to assist Down East Magazine’s digital strategies and day-to-day online production.
Timothy McCormick and Rachel Hanley were married in July 2018 in Bath, ME.
