UMaine astrophysicist Neil Comins will present a webinar “What If The Moon Didn’t Exist?” on March 31 at noon. 

Without the Moon, Earth would be significantly different from what it is today. Renowned scientist and author Dr. Neil Comins will explain the evolution of the Earth-Moon system and the Moon’s profound effects on our planet and life as we know it. Dr. Neil Comins is an astrophysicist, astronomer, and professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Maine. He has authored more than 20 published books on astronomy and space, with sales exceeding 500,000 copies.  Dr. Comins is a popular public speaker and has been featured on more than 100 radio and TV programs. He joined the UMaine faculty in 1978.
