Centennial Celebration!

Portland Alumnae was founded in 1926, which means we are approaching our Centennial year in 2026! We are excited to celebrate 100 years of Portland Alumnae and hope you will join us. Stay tuned for news about a summer celebration event!

One meaningful way we are marking this milestone is by growing our Portland Alumnae Scholarship Fund. Each year, the Portland Alumnae Chapter supports UMaine students who graduated from York and Cumberland County high schools.

Thanks to a generous donor, every gift made to our scholarship fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar through April 2, 2026 (the date of our meeting), or until $2,000 is raised. That means:

A $10 gift becomes $20

•

A $20 gift becomes $40

•

When we reach our $2,000 goal, it becomes $4,000 for student scholarships.
